Yellow peas 5 kg
Single feed for birds
The pea (Pisum sativum) belongs to the Fabaceae subfamily within the legume family. Protein-rich peas have therefore been considered an important crop for humans and animals for thousands of years. The 3-12 cm long pods of the legume contain an average of 4-10 seeds, the actual, edible peas, which come in various colors depending on the variety and ripeness: yellow peas, green peas, brownish peas, and, less commonly, black peas.
Peas are rich in essential amino acids such as cysteine, methionine, lysine, isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine. Peas are also rich in minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, magnesium, iron, manganese, and copper.
Instructions for use: Yellow peas usually contain slightly more starch than green peas and are a popular feed component, especially among pigeon fanciers, during breeding and racing seasons. They are well suited for mixing into individual feeding plans.
Pulses, such as peas, can be used in homemade parrot food or mash.
