Single seeds

Pure varieties instead of mixed

Single seeds are grains and seeds without mixing or additives. If you mix your own, you get the components here; if you feed a ready-made mix, you can supplement it selectively — a little more oats during travel time, linseed during moulting, cardy seed as a reward.

Which seed for what

Panicum millet is the classic treat for budgies, canaries, and exotics. Crushed oats and oat flakes are easily digestible sources of energy, especially for pigeons during travel time. Milo grain and corn provide starch, buckwheat and linseed supplement the ration. Sunflower seeds are available hulled for wild birds and unhulled as high-energy feed.
