Special feed for ornamental birds

When the base mix is not enough

Special feed is used where daily seed feed reaches its limits: when raising young birds, during breeding season, and for species with special requirements. It does not replace the base mix, but is used alongside it.

The three groups

Sprouting feed is a seed mix that is sprouted before feeding — it is softer and is readily accepted during breeding. Hand-rearing feed is a mash for young birds that are fed by hand; NutriBird A19 and A21 differ in fat content and therefore in the age stage. Egg food and rearing food are in between.
