What chickens need in everyday life

Laying hens, young hens, and ornamental poultry have different needs. Laying hens need calcium for the eggshell, young birds a finer grain, and all of them grit for digestion in the gizzard. Then there is the coop: clean water, dry bedding, and regular cleaning.

Grain feed and laying hen feed are under Feed mixes for chickens and layer feed, finer feed for chicks and quails under special poultry feed. Shell grit and grit can be found under grit and minerals for chickens, herbs under herbs for chickens. For the coop, there are drinkers and feeders, cleaning and hygiene, as well as diatomaceous earth and coop care.
