Diatomaceous earth – also called diatomite – is a finely ground natural product made from fossil diatoms. In the barn, it is used as a bedding additive and for barn hygiene because it binds moisture.
In the range, you will find diatomaceous earth as a powder in two container sizes as well as as a ready-to-use spray – suitable for chicken coops, pigeon lofts, and aviaries.
Please follow the manufacturer's application and safety instructions, especially regarding dust protection when applying it.
What diatomaceous earth consists of, where it is applied in the barn, and when powder or spray is the better choice is covered in the guide Diatomaceous Earth in the Barn.
