Mung Bean Bird Feed Eurital Katjang Beans 2,5 kg
Eurital Katjang Beans 2,5 kg are a high-protein bird food and a high-quality natural source of protein for pigeons and cage birds. The premium mung beans / Katjang Idjoe from Versele-Laga are ideal as a single feed, soaked feed, or sprouted feed.
Benefits of Katjang beans for birds
Katjang beans are among the protein-richest legumes in bird feed. Their naturally high protein content supports muscle development, condition, and the overall vitality of your birds.
Ideal for pigeons during the racing and breeding season
Mung beans as pigeon feed are a popular ingredient in high-quality feed mixes, especially during the demanding racing period.
- Quick recovery after flying
- Supports muscle development and condition
- Strengthens the immune system
Versatile use as bird food
Dry beans are very hard and are often not readily eaten directly by smaller bird species such as budgies. Eurital Katjang Beans can, however, be prepared very well and fed in many different ways.
As soaked or cooked feed
- Can be mixed with other seeds and grains
- Soak overnight and then briefly bring to the boil
- Very well accepted by birds used to them
As healthy sprouting feed
- Easy to prepare at home as sprouting feed
- Included in many commercially available sprouting mixes
- Particularly valuable thanks to activated enzymes
Important note: Due to their high protein content, mung beans can stimulate breeding behavior in birds. Ideal for breeding, but during the resting phase feed in controlled portions.
Feeding instructions
Give the Katjang beans as a single-ingredient feed for free intake. For optimal digestion, soaking, cooking, or sprouting is recommended before feeding. Provide your birds with fresh water daily.
