Composition and nutritional values

The green peas contain, depending on ripeness, 5–25% protein, 0.5–3% fat and 10–60% carbohydrates. They are naturally rich in essential amino acids such as lysine, methionine, cysteine, isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine.

They also provide important minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, magnesium, iron, manganese, and copper.

Feeding recommendation

Give the peas dry or soaked as a protein-rich supplement to the daily feed. Especially valuable during moulting and the breeding season. Please always provide fresh drinking water.

Suitable for these bird species

Suitable for parrots such as African grey parrots and Amazons, budgerigars such as budgies and cockatiels, canaries as well as exotics and ornamental poultry.

Quality and storage

The practical 2.5 kg bulk pack is heat-sealed and airtight resealable. Please store in a cool, dry place. Best before at least 12 months.
