For which animals is hemp suitable?
As pigeon feed
Hemp is very popular with pigeons and is often used as bait feed. It can support growth in young pigeons and activate the natural mating drive. During the racing season, hemp provides an extra boost of energy.
As horse feed
Hemp contributes to a balanced diet and can serve as a supplement to mineral feed. The omega fatty acids, essential amino acids, minerals, vitamins and trace elements it contains support digestion and metabolism.
Feeding recommendation & use
Hemp should only be fed as a supplement, as it is very high in oil. It can be given year-round or as a course, for example twice a year.
Important note: For pigeons, hemp should make up a maximum of 15% of the daily ration or feed mix. For horses, the amount should be adjusted individually.
