Moult Base Set
Set of four individually packaged feed products for pigeons:
-
Backs Vi-Spu-Min 1 kg – supplementary feed with minerals, trace elements, vitamins, and amino acids
-
Röhnfried Pigeon Friend Grit with Anise 5 kg – mineral feed, finely granulated, enhanced with anise oil
-
Eurital Milk Thistle Seed 5 kg – single feed material, 100% natural product
-
Röhnfried Treat Stone 6 pieces (approx. 5.5 kg) – mineral stone for free choice consumption
During moulting, pigeons renew their entire plumage. This set brings together four items that are typically in the loft at the same time during this phase: a mineral feed lime with vitamins and amino acids, a grit for free choice consumption, a mineral stone, and an oilseed. You buy the four items in one purchase instead of separately.
All four items are packaged separately and come in their original packaging with their own label. The binding information on composition, additives, and feeding is provided on the original packaging in each case. Below are the manufacturer's details at a glance.
1. Backs Vi-Spu-Min 1 kg
Supplementary feed for pigeons. In addition to minerals and trace elements, it contains vitamins and the amino acids methionine and lysine. It is used in periods of greater strain – from pairing through laying and rearing young birds to travel and moulting season.
Application: 20 g (one heaped teaspoon) per 1 kg feed. Optionally offer in small feed bowls for free choice consumption or bind to the feed with oil.
Composition: calcium carbonate, dicalcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride
Analytical constituents: calcium 30%, hydrochloric acid-insoluble ash 5.3%, phosphorus 5%, lysine 2%, sodium 1.5%, methionine 1%
Additives per kg: vitamin A (3a672a) 300,000 IU, vitamin D3 (E671) 30,000 IU, manganese (E5) as manganese(II) oxide 2,000 mg, zinc (E6) as zinc oxide 1,300 mg, iron (E1) as iron(II) sulfate monohydrate 800 mg, copper (E4) as copper(II) sulfate pentahydrate 195 mg, iodine as anhydrous calcium iodate (3b202) 26 mg, selenium (E8) as sodium selenite 5 mg
Due to the higher levels of vitamins and trace elements, feed at no more than 3% of the daily ration.
2. Röhnfried Pigeon Friend Grit with Anise 5 kg
Mineral feed for pigeons. The blend contains oyster shells, quartz, lime, and red stones and is refined with anise oil using the drying process. The fresh scent encourages pigeons to take the grit willingly.
Application: Offer as much as will be consumed in one day for free choice consumption. Remove leftovers after two to three days and adjust the amount as needed.
Composition: calcium carbonate from oyster shells 40%, limestone 25%, quartz 20%, red stones 15%
Analytical constituents: calcium 24.0%, phosphorus 1.5%, sodium 0.03%
Additives per 1000 g: sensory additives: anise oil (CoE 336) 1,000 mg
3. Eurital Milk Thistle Seed 5 kg
Single feed material for pigeons and birds, 100% natural product without artificial additives. Milk thistle seed is a traditional part of pigeon feeding, especially during moulting. The characteristic ingredient of the seeds is silymarin.
Feeding recommendation: As a course over 5 days, about 2–3 g per bird per day. For ongoing supplementation up to 3% of the total feed quantity.
4. Röhnfried Treat Stone 6 pieces (approx. 5,5 kg)
Supplementary feed for pigeons. In addition to minerals, the pigeon stone also provides magnesium and iodine. The manufacturing process and granulation ensure that pigeons especially like to take it.
Application: Offer in the loft for free choice consumption.
Composition: calcium carbonate from oyster shells, quartz, red stones, calcium carbonate, millet, dicalcium phosphate, sodium chloride, magnesium oxide
Analytical constituents: calcium 22.0%, phosphorus 0.6%, sodium 0.5%, magnesium 0.4%
Additives per 1000 g: potassium iodide (3b201) 33 mg
Due to the higher iodine content, feed at no more than 30% of the total ration per day.
Shipping note: The treat stone may crumble if bumped. This does not affect the quality – the product can be used safely.
Supplementary and single feed materials are intended to provide nutrients. They are not medicinal products and do not replace veterinary treatment if signs of illness appear. The feeding recommendations on the original packaging are binding.
